Training a series of exercises back to back, rather than doing sets and reps of just one, is a fantastic way to build more dynamic fitness and greater agility. This is why Ninja Warrior gyms are so excellent. But you can create your own assault course or circuit, too! While there are definitely benefits to finding a station and staying there for three sets of twelve… this is also very repetitive. And, let’s face it, boring! Training a series of movements together not only makes things far more interesting, it also teaches you to move between movements and train the positions that aren’t usually strengthened. PLUS it’s better for learning new skills AND for creating a more robust, global aerobic fitness.
