Surf Soon: Review of the Anderson A.P.E Edge Surfboard.

In This episode I will be reviewing a 7’6 Anderson Putnam Engineering by Anderson surfboards. This is Scott Anderson and Kirk Putnum’s version of the edge board. The edge board was originated by George Greenough to allow him to surf less then perfect waves away from crowds. The design is a board eat board concept so when on plane there is less surface area. Like a displacement hull almost all the rocker is in the nose. Overall a pretty flat board aimed more for speed over performance. As far as the rails there are two levels. Top level is very hullish with a pinched rail and the bottom is a hard edge for most of the perimeter. This allows paddling on 22 and a half inches but planing on 18. Bottom has a single concave to slightly wider single to a double before the fin and flat out the tail. I wanted to share with you a community chat I designed for all things surfing. It was designed to focus on several different categories that I feel are key interested to the modern day surfer.
