Thanks! CREDITS: The earliest predecessor to the inversion plot was Ed Marlo's "Mental Reverse" published in The Cardician in 1953. Routines of this type were first published under the title "Inversion" in Encore II in 1981 by James Lewis, Piet Forton, and Michael Ammar. Since then, many magicians have published variations on the plot. So many, in fact, that a not-quite-as-good version of this trick is a rather common follow up to "hey I know this one magic trick can I show it to you?" Luckily, the version I teach here will fool people who know the not-quite-as-good version as the magical phenomenon taking place is far more impressive in this version.
