Crediting & History:
1. Transposition
- The first use of duplicates for a transposition seems to go back to Hoffman's Modern Magic.
- From there, the first mention of successive double lifts to achieve a transposition goes to Charlie Miller in "The Magic of Charles Earle Miller."
- For some reason much talk seems to point to John Scarne for his "Switchcraft" as being the source of what would become colloquially known as "Here and There" as performed by David Blaine. I am not sure what his contribution was, as the use of successive double lifts with a single duplicate seems to come from Miller.
- So, based on the way people tend to perform this trick I think we should be pointing to Charlie Miller, but I could be wrong.
2. Gemini Twins
- This trick is invented by Karl Fulves
3. Biddle Trick (as described by Genii Magazine)
- Biddle Move: from "Transcendent" 1947 by Elmer Biddle
- Modern Biddle Trick: Combination of "WOW!" from Richard Ferguson in 1951, and "Biddle-Thru" from Elmer Biddle in 1950.
- presentation influenced by Alex Pandrea and Jonathan Bayme.
