History & Credits:
1. Chicago Opener:
- Chicago Opener credited to Al Leech: "The first published version was the Hot Card Trick No. 1 by Al Leech, marketed in 1950 by The Ireland Magic Company, and then made popular by Frank Everhart as Chicago Opener when published by Frank Garcia in Million Dollar Card Secrets (1972)." - Genii Magazine
- Hindu Shuffle Force: Encyclopedia of Card Tricks, 1937, Jean Hugard
- The Break Riffle Force is attributed to Theodore Annemann in the Jinx and in More Card Manipulations by Jean Hugard (Conjuring Archive).
2. Transposition
- The first use of duplicates for a transposition seems to go back to Hoffman's Modern Magic.
- From there, the first mention of successive double lifts to achieve a transposition goes to Charlie Miller in "The Magic of Charles Earle Miller."
- For some reason much talk seems to point to John Scarne for his "Switchcraft" as being the source of what would become colloquially known as "Here and There" as performed by David Blaine. I am not sure what his contribution was, as the use of successive double lifts with a single duplicate seems to come from Miller.
- So, based on the way people tend to perform this trick I think we should be pointing to Charlie Miller, but I could be wrong.
3. Gemini Twins
- This trick is invented by Karl Fulves
4. Biddle Trick
(as described by Genii Magazine)
- Biddle Move: from "Transcendent" 1947 by Elmer Biddle
- Modern Biddle Trick: Combination of "WOW!" from Richard Ferguson in 1951, and "Biddle-Thru" from Elmer Biddle in 1950.
5. Triumph (performance clips from Marques Brownlee YouTube Channel)
- Slop Shuffle: Sid Lorraine
- I am actually unsure of who to point to for the bowing the deck for obtaining a break subtlety, so if you know who to credit for that please let me know and I will add it here.
- Shout out to Alex Pandrea's YouTube video teaching this trick, and to Doug Conn for his Triumph insight and teachings
