Bret Hart was scheduled to face Sid Vicious in the main event but Bret had to forfeit the World Championship due to the injury he sustained at Starrcade 99, and Jeff Jarrett also pulled out of the event due to an injury suffered on Nitro. Vince Russo has also walked out of the company, a group of hard working midcarders are also ready to leave immediately after this event, so it's pure chaos in World Championship Wrestling.
