Do you think this concrete slab was a violation of local building codes? Before installing a concrete slab for someone, we always ask if the code enforcement officer approves the slab design and ensures the homeowner has a building permit. Some towns we work in the code guy says do whatever you want to and whatever you think will work for you. Other towns and cities the code guy has very strict codes (measurements) for slab thickness, sub-grade prep, reinforcement, and others. Do you think this slab will suffice for a residential garage?
