Hi everyone! It's been a while since I uploaded a new video due to my grandmas passing. Haven't been recording new videos since then at all. So today we have to go back in time a little.
The recording was done on the 27th of November 2024. Today we will encounter a changed train schedule because of railway fracture on our track. Therefor we will be diverted over the left track instead of the right one. Because there's only one track available between Utrecht Zuid connection and Driebergen-Zeist only one train per 30 minutes can run on this line.
0:00 Utrecht Centraal
Let's start the ride. It's still early in the morning during rush hour. The day before a railway fracture occurred at Bunnik. This couldn't be fixed yesterday. Therefor the train schedule is now changed for the drivers. Passengers will still see their normal train times on the platform and in the apps.
We depart 'on time' from Utrecht (+11 minutes for the passengers). Because the oncoming train is still on its way from Driebergen-Zeist we must take it easy with the speed until he made space for us.

Passing this station on low speed because our light signals do no allow a higher speed yet.
6:53 Utrecht Zuid Connection
The oncoming train is passing by soon. The junction behind it will change direction and our light will be green soon after that. Between this point and the next station you won't find any light signals on the left track. This means only one train at the time can travel between here and Driebergen-Zeist in this direction at the time.
10:20 Bunnik (Rail Fracture)
On the next level crossing one of the rails has been fractured. Therefor we cannot travel over that track. Of course trains could travel on lower speed over the fracture. But his causes big delays as well. Due to the fracture our ATB-systems also can't work normally. Signals are passed through the rails. Therefor NS and ProRail adapted the train schedule for today.
11:28 Warning Light Signal
The light signal we're passing here does not detect our train. It is coupled to the next main light signal. The light signal we're passing won't show red at any times. And it won't show another sign when the train passes by. It just gives info about the next main light signal located right before Driebergen-Zeist. As soon as that light would show red (when we will pass it), this warning signal will show a yellow light without the 8 again.

With a 4 minute delay (+15 minutes for the passengers) we arrive at Driebergen-Zeist.

Time to change back to the right track so trains from the opposite direction can pass by again.

Extra stop on the route because we run less train than normally. Both trains in each direction will make a stop at Veenendaal-De Klomp. On departure we'll encounter slippery tracks and we're not able to give use full traction.

Arrival at Arnhem with a 18 minute delay for our passengers (6 minutes for our own schedule). Here we change trains to the Sprinter service towards Zutphen. A first timer on my channel. :)

There camera sometimes has a hard time with the low light situation and the blue train drivers desk. Nevertheless I wanted to show you this short Sprinter ride. :) The train managers asks for some with the the cabin climate system. Will be handeling that off after departure (privacy music).
