A lot to see! Let's get to is quickly! Wanna go directly to the start of the dense fog ride? Check this out at 1:00:26! 0:00 Amsterdam Centraal + Westelijk Eiland We'll start the video on a wonderful Sunday morning in Amsterdam. 3:06 Singelgrachtbrug 3:46 Lijnwerkplaats Zuid 4:18 Transformatorweg Connection 6:14 Amsterdam Sloterdijk 7:54 Erasmusgracht Connection 9:48 Amsterdam Lelylaan 11:38 Riekerpolder Connection 13:47 Schiphol Tunnel + Schiphol Airport 22:44 Hoofddorp 22:57 Entering North Section High Speed Line (Voltage Change Over) At this point you'll see ICNG has the full capacity to change to from ATB to ERTMS and from 1.5kV DC voltage to 25kV AC voltage. 24:53 Temporary Speed Limit On the first 15km of the 'half speed line' is set to 120 and 80km/h temporary speed. During the build of this part of the infrastructure faults have been made by the contractor. Foundation must get fixed before the normal speed can set back again. 28:33 Ringvaart Aquaduct 30:32 Hoogmade Overloopwissels 34:51 Let's Gooo! 200km/h!! Groene Hart Tunnel Whooosshh! :D 39:42 Phase-Lock Bleiswijk This section prevents too many trains from driving under one phase draining all the power from it. 42:34 Tunnel Rotterdam Noord (Voltage Change Over) Time to change back to ATB and 1.5kV DC voltage. Almost arriving in Rotterdam. 47:18 Rotterdam Centraal Ready to change trains? We'll change to another ICNG train but 40 minutes after our current train. As you can see on the change we went from 13 to 10 carriages. A little bit shorter than the other. 50:52 Willemspoortunnel 51:39 Rotterdam Blaak 52:56 Rotterdam Zuid 53:58 Temporary Speed Limit + Rotterdam Stadion Temporary speed limit in place because of faulty infrastructure. We'll speed up soon again! 54:48 Rotterdam Lombardijen 55:11 Entering South Section High Speed Line Time to enter the high speed line on the south section. We'll be driving on the left side on this part because in Belgium trains do as well. 56:02 Kap Barendrecht 56:42 Voltage Change Over 56:59 Dead Swan There's a dead swan on our track. We'll report later to the Train Dispatcher. 57:40 Ready for 200km/h again! :D 58:12 Tunnel Oude Maas + Reporting Train Dispatcher 59:03 Molendijk One of the dikes that can be shut when floods would happen in our country. Check the flood doors. 1:00:26 Mookhoek + Dense Fog Another dike with flood doors. I hope you enjoyed the view. Small world from now on! 1:00:58 Tunnel Dordtsche Kil 1:01:39 Brug Hollandsch Diep Normally an awesome view here... not today! We still manage to run our train on full speed because our railway safety systems are build for this. 1:02:51 Phase-Lock Gone! Finally the phase-lock that was located here has been taken away. Train to/from Breda had to run without power for a long time because the phase-lock and the voltage change over where so close together. 1:03:56 HSL Zevenbergschenhoek Connection (Voltage Change Over) Time to leave the high speed line and go back to the normal line. 1:07:36 Breda Prinsenbeek 1:10:18 Breda 1:16:29 Dense Fog: Signal Coming Up! How do we know there's a light signal coming up? Check out those small signs on the right counting down before you reach a light signal. You see those reflector signs? 3.. 2.. 1.. Signal! When passing a yellow signal we search for those reflector signs so we know we're close to the red light. How do we know what is coming? Drivers must have route knowledge before we are allowed to drive here. We must know what is coming. 1:20:05 Gilze-Rijen 1:22:33 Tilburg Reeshof 1:24:55 Tilburg Universiteit 1:26:32 Tilburg At this stop I contact the train dispatcher. There's a small system failure in the rear train set. Possibly I need to do a reset in Eindhoven. I request a change of arrival track so we can create time for a reset before turning back. 1:31:03 Tilburg Connection 1:34:10 Oisterwijk 1:38:32 Boxtel In Boxtel I give the Train Manager an update about the fact we will arrive a a different track. Also requesting to make contact with the connecting train for passengers so they can wait for our passengers because they need to change via stairs in the station. 1:40:50 Liempde 1:41:47 Ecoduct 1:43:35 Best (Tunnel) 1:45:24 Acht 1:47:16 Eindhoven Strijp-S 1:49:59 Waiting Before Final Arrival Early freight train changed the plans a little. 1:53:24 Eindhoven Arriving three minutes late at Eindhoven. The connecting train was waiting for our passengers. And a full train reset was not needed after I resetted one smaller system. :D I hope you liked the ride! Please let me know and have a good weekend everyone! Cheers!
