What is the most beautiful house? There are several factors that determine such a choice. Everyone who has a painting of a house made has something special to say. I like to listen when people talk. I need their story for my painting. The client has known the house and the surrounding area for a long time, I have only known it for 5 minutes. This week I am in the region Gelderland where I visit a couple who live on a large estate in several classic country villa's. Their son also lives there and keeps the garden beautifully maintained. I even stumbled on a typical Monet bridge! From there I have a nice view to make a first sketch of the house.
