The most common mistake in search term report analysis is NOT making a pivot table before analyzing.
Search term report provides us with the customer search terms triggered through targeting. There are usually different match types across all the campaigns. This could cause the same search terms to get triggered through different campaigns.
You might see a term that is not performing in one campaign but has great performance when looking at all campaigns.
To do the analysis to understand the performance of a term, we need to look at the combination of all results for the term. That is where the pivot table comes to play.
