People are LIVID About This ONE…I've LOST More SUBS Than Any VIDEO I’ve EVER DONE!-Professor of Rock
There’s no shortage of opinions when it comes to the greatest Male rock singer of all time—critics, fans, and forums have debated it endlessly. And while we don’t necessarily disagree with the usual names, there are some incredible voices that rarely get the recognition they deserve. So on this episode, we're shining a light on the unsung heroes—the vocalists who should absolutely be in the conversation of the greatest ever, and there are some real surprises in here. It’s our countdown of the Top 10 Most Under-Appreciated Vocalists… including the raspy rocker Bob Seger who was so poetic he made a seedy stripper seem like a Goddess, and Sammy Hagar who had such a talent at this peak that his 1986 hit with his new band was so grand it felt like he was just showing off. And then there’s David Gilmour, who is one of the greatest guitarists ever and the secondary singer in Pink Floyd, but his melancholy performance on 1975's Wish You Were Here was so sensational it’s become the greatest album cut in history. The stories are coming up NEXT on Professor of Rock. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Executive Producer Brandon Fugal Honorary Producers Holly Hammet, Remnarc, Kevin riley, Paul Moore II, CharleyAnne ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check out my Hand Picked Selection Below Professor's Store - Van Halen OU812 Vinyl Album https://amzn.to/3tLsII2 - The 80s Collection https://amzn.to/3mAekOq - 100 Best Selling Albums https://amzn.to/3h3qZX9 - Ultimate History of 80s Teen Movie https://amzn.to/3ifjdKQ - 80s to 90s VHS Video Cover Art https://amzn.to/2QXzmIX - Totally Awesome 80s A Lexicon https://amzn.to/3h4ilrk - Best In Ear Headphones (I Use These Every Day) https://amzn.to/2ZcTlIl ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check Out The Professor of Rock Merch Store -http://bit.ly/ProfessorMerch ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check Out Patron Benefits http://bit.ly/ProfessorofRockVIPFan Help out the Channel by purchasing your albums through our links! It’s all about that indescribable feeling you get the moment these 10 singers step up to the mic and let their glorious voices soar. Whenever we talk about the greatest male singers in rock history. We always hear the same names: Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry, Paul Rodgers, Bon Scott, Roger Daltrey, Lennon, and McCartney. I even hear Brad Delp more and more. They are all worthy of the distinction, but today I have a top 10 list of male singers that don’t get mentioned a lot in these conversations. Don’t get me wrong, these artists are famous, yet they don’t get the recognition they truly deserve as vocalists, but we’re here to change that and give them the spotlight they’ve earned, along with 1 song that truly highlights their magic…. Coming in at #10, I have the king of the rasp. One of the most Distinct voices in American rock… Bob Seger….Bob doesn’t get nearly enough credit as a vocalist. His songwriting is rich and engaging, and his repertoire of great songs is so deep. But it's his voice that makes him such a compelling artist. That raspy, whiskey-soaked baritone of his isn’t just cool—it’s packed with emotion and grit. He’s got this way of singing that oozes swagger and confidence, especially when he’s telling stories about working-class life and the heartland. Bob has a real gift for blending melody with that rugged tone, creating a sound that’s unmistakably his. As a vocalist, Bob is one of the most authentic and powerful of the Rock Era. Bob really showcases his vocal versatility in “We’ve Got Tonight.” Bob wrote “We’ve Got Tonite” and released it as his 3rd single from the Seger & Silver Bullet Band LP, Stranger in Town, in 78. Late one night, Bob was watching The Sting, that classic film with Robert Redford and Paul Newman. There’s this quiet little scene that most people probably wouldn’t think twice about.
