We took a day trip with St Kilda Cruises to this amazingly beautiful island archipelago. Landing on the largest Isle, Hirta, we were immediately spellbound. The weather was kind to us and it was a clear, bright day. Bernie persuaded me that we should hike up to the cliffs and boy what a view! It's the only site in the UK with duel UNESCO World Status for its Natural and Cultural Qualities. After spending a few hours on Hirta, we set off back on the boat to check out the nearby humongous sea stacks. WHAT A DAY! Forever etched in our memories. A real Bucket List location.
