Hiking 15-Miles To Mainland Britain's Most Remote Village | Knoydart

Knoydart, sometimes known as Scotland's last wilderness, is a 55,000-acre peninsula located between Loch Nevis (which means heaven, in some Gaelic translations) and Loch Hourn (which means hell). It’s one of mainland Britain's most remote areas and is the only sizeable area in Britain that remains inaccessible to vehicles. It’s accessible only by foot or boat. Over the next two days, I’ll be hiking a 15-mile route alone across the Knoydart Peninsula in the Scottish Highlands from Kinloch Hourn to Inverie, the most remote community on mainland Britain.
