National Day In Hanoi, Vietnam

I had already headed into Hanoi Old Quarter to see if I could find out what was taking place on Vietnam National Day. I hadn't had any success finding any information so I decided to just head out to locations that I figured might have some sort of celebration. My first destination was Ba Dinh Square where Ho Chi Minh read the Declarations of Independence of Vietnam on 2 September 1945. This is what National Day celebrates. All of the ceremonies had already taken place but there were still plenty of people around waving Vietnamese flags. My next destination was Hoan Kiem lake where I expected to find a stage and fireworks.
