Christmas is not a tradition in Vietnam. In the expat area of Tay Ho, you will find Christmas decorations, but it is not a public holiday and is not typically celebrated by the Vietnamese. I had a very low-key Christmas but then decided to head out to the Old Quarter in search of Christmas. My plans for a quiet Christmas soon went out of the window as the beer flowed.
