Mario Kart Wii is Still BETTER Than Mario Kart 8 Deluxe! The Definitive Answer.

Just to be clear, I love both games, even 8 Deluxe so the things I knock on it for don't automatically make the game bad for me. It's still an amazing Mario Kart game that I've had hours of fun playing. *TLDR:* I guess my final verdict to why I like Wii better than 8 Deluxe is that Mario Kart 8 Deluxe has too many items in the game, which makes the game feel a bit overwhelming during races. This also takes away from the skill factor of the game since more items introduces more variables that can affect your race. So even though you drove well, the likelihood of your race getting ruined by items is much higher than it is in Mario Kart Wii. The overabundance of items adds too many variables to the game which makes the skill-to-luck ratio of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe have an extreme slant towards luck. I also like the mechanics and driving more in Wii than 8 Deluxe because it feels more natural and I have much more control over my vehicle. Inside drift allows me to take quick corrections and drift super tight, and it is overall a more flexible style of driving than 8 Deluxe's outside drift.
