I am Sisi Laoshi. 要..了（yao...le） indicate an action that is going to take place soon 我们要去中国了。Wǒmen yào qù zhōngguó le. We are going to China. The subject can often be omitted in this type of sentence 要下课了。Yào xiàkè le. 就or 快can be used in front of 要 to indicate urgency. 火车快要来了。Huǒchē kuàiyào lái le. The train is coming. 新年就要到了。Xīnnián jiù yào dào le. New Year is around the corner. If there is an adverbial of time in the sentence, only 就要…了 can be used. 明天我们就要考试了。Míngtiān wǒmen jiùyào kǎoshì le. We will have an exam tomorrow. Another structure is不要…了it used to dissuade or forbid somebody from doing something。 It is a imperative sentence. Usually subject is omitted. 不要玩手机了。Búyào wán shǒujī le. Don‘t play mobile phone. You can also use 别…了 别also means don’t 别睡觉了。Bié shuìjiào le. Don't sleep.
