Japanese Bisque Torso and Others - Restoration | Haulin Glass
These items are primarily 1920's and early 1930's. The bisque torso could very well be older. Several of these items had bad rust attached to them and this took longer for the acid to work but they came out well. I suggest viewing this on your big screen and home stereo for the best experience. Cars, birds, the sound of digging and falling dirt sound best there. The embossing is easier to read there too. Also choose a well ventilated area outdoors and have your neutralizer on deck and ready beforehand. A few things I've learned about muriatic acid: Do not mix muriatic acid with other chemicals! Do not submerge aluminum in muriatic acid, can be explosive! Do not submerge bakelite lids or conch shells in muriatic acid, they will be destroyed. #restoration #history #educational
