Jaguar E Type V12- the cat that knows how to leap| Tyrrell's Classic Workshop
This week Iain focusses on a car that he’s wanted to share for some time. Described as the finest production engine in-period, the Jaguar V12 re- wrote the rulebook on mechanical refinement. It combined low- speed smoothness/refinement with a serious power curve in a reasonably- priced package to a new level.
Is the E Type series 3, with hindsight, a credible swansong to its 6-cylinder forbears? Please air your views in the comments….
N.B. This engine is upgraded with SU carburettors instead of the original Strombergs.
