Intentional and purposeful resource allocation for inclusive education
This session explores how targeted resource allocation in various countries is helping to tackle key challenges in inclusive education. EASNIE introduces Dr Paula Hunt, CEO and principal researcher of DED Lda. (Disability, Education and Development https://www.ded4inclusion.com/), who delves into the definition of inclusive education and examines key findings from UNESCO’s Global Education Monitoring Reports, addressing challenges related to identity, ability and financing. She shares inclusion strategies from Romania, Mongolia and Sierra Leone for marginalised groups, as well as recommendations for driving systemic reform through collaboration and data-driven decision-making. This session is part of the project ‘Combatting Disparities in Access to Inclusive Education in Italy, Portugal and Spain', funded by the European Union through the Technical Support Instrument (TSI) and carried out by EASNIE in co-operation with the European Commission’s Reform and Investment Task Force (SG REFORM) https://reform-support.ec.europa.eu/index_en.
