🌿 How to Make Goat's Milk Cold Process Soap Using the Heat Transfer Method 🌿
In this video, I’ll walk you through how to create creamy, luxurious goat’s milk soap using the heat transfer method. This technique is perfect for soap makers who want to simplify the soapmaking process while preserving the benefits of goat’s milk. I’ll also share my favorite recipe, featuring a beautiful orange essential oil scent and natural colorants.
👉 Recipe for Goat's Milk Cold Process Soap (All measurements in grams):
Distilled Water: 226 g
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye): 151 g
Coconut Oil: 247 g
Shea Butter: 225 g
Castor Oil: 56 g
Olive Oil: 506 g
Grapeseed Oil: 90 g
Orange 5 Fold Essential Oil: 56 g
Goat’s Milk Powder: 1 tablespoon
Orange Peel Powder: 1 teaspoon
Pink French Clay: ½ teaspoon
👉 Instructions:
Prepare Your Lye Solution:
In a well-ventilated area, slowly add sodium hydroxide (lye) to distilled water. Stir until fully dissolved. Set aside to cool.
Melt Your Hard Oils:
Add coconut oil and shea butter to a large mixing bowl. Pour the hot lye solution over these oils to melt them using the heat transfer method. Stir until completely melted.
Add Liquid Oils:
Once the hard oils are melted, add castor oil, olive oil, and grapeseed oil. Mix thoroughly.
Incorporate Additives:
Add goat’s milk powder, orange peel powder, and pink French clay to the oils. Stir until well combined.
Blend Essential Oils:
Add the orange 5-fold essential oil to the mixture and stir thoroughly.
Achieve Trace:
Use an immersion blender to bring the mixture to a light to medium trace.
Pour into Mold:
Pour the soap batter into your prepared soap mold. Tap the mold gently to release air bubbles.
Cure Your Soap:
Allow the soap to sit in the mold for 24-48 hours. Unmold and cut into bars. Cure for 4-6 weeks for best results.
This soap is packed with skin-loving oils and natural ingredients, making it a perfect addition to any soap lover’s collection!
