How to Create A Two Part Pottery Vase — A Journey of Learning
My video this week goes over the creation of these handmade, two-part vases. It was a real learning journey for me, as you'll see by all the failures this film includes. This isn't a good example of how to make pots, rather it shows my struggles of making pots and testing out ideas, which, hopefully, will be useful and insightful itself. I use a Rohde TE-200 electric kiln and a Rohde KG-340 gas kiln. If you'd like to watch a more in-depth film about reduction firing you can find it here: https://youtu.be/5UJi6u50foI Phil Poburka makes a majority of the trimming tools I use for stoneware.
