In this video, I’ll show you how to create a simple yet powerful squash & stretch rig in Blender using a Lattice and Bendy Bones. Whether you want to push cartoony deformations or add subtle secondary motion, this rig is a great tool to have in your rigging/animation toolkit.
I’ll walk you through everything step by step—from setting up the lattice and rigging it with bendy bones, to integrating it with an existing character rig and avoiding double transforms. I made a custom add-on that automates the whole process if you’re short on time.
