Hotstart TBM 900 Part 1 - IFR Departure from Glasgow [X-Plane]
Part one of the video series looking at the Hotstart TBM 900 in X-Plane 11. We set the aircraft up from cold and dark, load an IFR flightplan from Glasgow EGPF to Aberdeen EGPD then start the engine using a ground power unit. Flying the departure we look at the importance of always understanding what the GPS navigation is trying to do.
Errors, Omissions, Clarifications:-
- I had a slight overtorque during the initial climb, remember that the power lever is very sensitive and concentrate on flying at all times.
- You can accelerate and deselect inertial separator much sooner than video shows, the delay was to allow explanation of the turn/flightplan issues.
