From 2016 to 2019 his Liquid squads were contending for the biggest trophies in the world. In 2016 the arrival of temperamental prodigy s1mple saw them making the semis and finals of a major, the latter the best result an NA team managed until C9's win in 2018, and losing only to the eventual champions LG/SK. At this time nitr0 was an aggressive rifler but after a failed period of stanislaw IGLing in 2017 nitr0 took the reigns and rarely looked back after. Liquid immediately responded with finals appearances at ESG Mykonos and ESL One New York 2017, both events which saw TL slay the world number one SK Gaming in the semis. In 2018 Liquid were the clear second best team in the world but Astralis was the one team they could not beat and that was not just the best team at the time but probably in all of history. 2019 saw Liquid and nitr0 finally best Astralis and take over their top spot, culminating in the fastest ever Intel Grand Slam won, as nitr0's Liquid not only won four straight ESL circuit notches but would go on to win six of seven events from May to the end of July. Alas, TL could not deliver upon their favourite status and win the Starladder Berlin Major that year. nitr0 switched over to VALORANT for a time in 2020 and all of 2021 but he would return last year and Liquid again managed some deep runs in his last stint with them. They were very close to winning ESL ProLeague S16, also made the finals of BLAST World Final, made two semis runs at BLAST Fall Finals and IEM Katowice and most recently Liquid cracked top eight at the BLAST Paris Major. In part three, nitr0 discusses his move to VALORANT, returning to CS:GO last year, bringing on daps and YEKINDAR, almost winning EPL, TL's run at the last ever CS:GO major and his future plans. This interview was recorded on the 14th of July, 2023. ► Time-line of topics discussed: 00:00 Life left in 2019 line-up? 02:22 Online era 03:46 VALORANT swap 06:24 IGLing in 100T 08:11 Latter period of 100T 09:57 VCT semis run 12:13 Quitting VALORANT 13:10 What if? 14:00 Following CS? 14:43 shox line-up 16:45 YEKINDAR 19:35 IEM Cologne 2022 run 21:09 ESL ProLeague finals loss to Vitality 21:43 ZywOo 22:48 daps 24:00 TL run 25:35 NAF 27:33 BLAST Paris Major 30:06 Apeks quarter-final 31:53 Why retire? 32:49 Plans for CS2? 33:02 nitr0 style of leadership 35:36 Strengths and skills 37:47 What if he stayed as a rifle star? 38:32 Offers from other teams? 39:21 Final words ► Check out bite-sized Thorin on my new clips channel: https://www.youtube.com/thorinclips ► Follow me on social media: https://twitter.com/Thorin https://facebook.com/Thooorin https://www.instagram.com/thooorinofficial/ ► You can discuss this content at my Discord server: https://discord.gg/rDKxKfM ► This video was kindly supported by: starlust Theo Buenzli Ahmed Hadjou Matt, Pugnatio, Rajcula touken_ Jensen Goh Animosity Tobias Bernasconi buttpounder420 yurka86 Tosh Special thanks go out to JerCkysMiNi0n. #Liquid #nitr0 #Thorin
