In this series, we dive into the newly added TGG campaign mode, trying to work out the best strategies against the Hard AI. Each campaign offers 10 curated kingdoms which come with some twisted game mechanics.
In this one, we try to build a standard Village/Smithy engine with trashing somewhat accelerated by Reckless Secluded Shrine. We however find ourselves repeatedly trashing Smithies to our Pickaxes, make slight mistakes in missing Searches triggering, but somehow manage to get way ahead.
Dominion is a deck building card game created by Donald X. Vaccarino.
Currently, there exist two online implementations: The browser and subscription-based Dominion Online (https://dominion.games/), and the multi-platform-, single-purchase-based client by Temple Gates Games (TGG), available e.g. on Steam (https://store.steampowered.com/app/1131620/Dominion/) and mobile appliances.
Here, we play on the TGG client, which offers free play of the Base game as well as a free daily entry into a randomly generated (with some restrictions) kingdom, where you get to compete against their AI. Campaigns against the AI can be played once the appropriate expansion is bought.
