They took your weapons. They took your gear. You're trapped in a dungeon with nothing but your wits — and the slavers are coming.
In this episode, I’m kicking off a new sub-series exploring the entire catalog of TSR’s classic Dungeons & Dragons adventures from A to Z — starting with the infamous Slave Lords series: A1 Slave Pits of the Under City through A4 The Dungeons of the Slave Lords.
You'll learn:
🎲Why these brutal modules were originally created as tournament adventures
🎲How the Slave Lords embodied TSR's shift toward grittier storytelling
🎲Tips for running these in a modern OSR campaign
🎲And the legacy of this series across later editions (like Slavers and Against the Slave Lords)
Whether you're a hardcore grognard or just escaping from 5E and dipping your toes into OSR waters, this is a legendary series worth knowing.
💬 Let me know in the comments — what are YOUR thoughts on these classic D&D modules?
