Crafting a HEAVY Bracelet, Foxtail inspired.
I made a heavy Bracelet inspired by the well known foxtail pattern. This is how I did it: I had 2 old, broken copper baskets that I could use. I pulled 2 different size copper wires from the 2 copper baskets and straightened the copper wires with pliers. Then I twisted the thinnest, long wire twice and started to roll up the twisted copper wire. I used a round wooden stick to roll it up. Then I took the thickest of the copper wire and rolled it up on the same round stick. After that, I started sawing out both copper wires to separate rings and soldered them together so that the rings were unbroken. I then bent the rings so I could use them to braid the copper bracelet. I knew it would take a strong hand tool to weave the rings together, so I sharpened an old screwdriver into an awl. Then I started braiding alternately the twisted rings and the round rings. I had to use a lot of energy to press the rings together, but I succeeded. To straighten the copper bracelet, I pulled it through a wooden board, which I had previously made a hole in, so that it was slightly smaller than the bracelet. That way, I was able to pull the bracelet into a more stable shape. Just to put the finishing touches on the copper bracelet, I pounded it into shape in an oval metal mold. The copper bracelet had to have a simple clasp, so I made an S from the handle of one copper basket. I shaped the S between 2 copper pipes - it was easy to get it harmonious that way. I got the final ends of the copper bracelet by cutting 2 ends of a copper tube, cutting them and finally soldering them onto the copper bracelet so that they could be used as a lock on the bracelet. Finally, I finished by sanding and polishing the Copper Bracelet. I was quite satisfied with the result, although it had become a little thicker than I had expected. #makingbracelets #mensjewelry #makingjewellery Chapters: 0:00 Make copper rings from copper baskets 4:06 Collect the copper rings and make jewelry soldering 5:25 Bending copper rings and braiding copper bracelets 8:16 Pull and tap the bracelet chain into shape 9:37 Make ends for the copper bracelet chain 12:46 Presentation of the finished Copper Bracelet Chain Subscribe for more My Projects - videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa6u8pIYPovyaV2LNZ9_RVg?sub_confirmation=1 If you want to be se how I made a Silver and copper bracelet Cuff, you might want to watch this video: Cool CUFF Bracelet Making - NO Solder - In My Workshop: https://youtu.be/o82WVVEXpNc This video is made for entertainment purposes.
