My thoughts on the lens:
The RF200-800 is a great lens for anyone wanting to get into wildlife photography. But it doesn't stop there, it's also a fantastic 'all round' lens for both photography and video. It's got great sharpness considering the budget and it's image stabilisation is quite good and makes shooting handheld easy.
The lens may seem expensive but the reach and versatility it delivers makes it worthwhile . Good build quality and a nice feel make it feel like it's worth the money. One downside is that there's no dedicated focus ring, you use the RF control ring instead.
The lens is fairly lightweight and manageable. It's not as light in the hand than the cheap F11 600 and 800 but it's a better lens in terms of image and focus performance.
This lens won't replace your pro large aperture prime lens but it ain't supposed to! I'd highly recommend this lens!
