In this video we will use Blender and learn how to make a Procedural Ocean Shader using the Cycles Rendering Engine. For this we will first break down the overall scene setup, then build a realistic Shader for our Ocean and finally setup a procedural Foam Setup that will blend everything nicely together.
I am using Blender 4.2 in this demo but you can also use older versions of Blender as well and it will work exactly the same.
A similar workflow can also be used in other software such as Cinema4d, Maya, 3ds Max and different kind of render engines such as V-Ray, Corona, Octane, Redshift, Arnold, and countless others.
