Arkansas true crime straight out of Jonesboro and West Memphis. Leading up to 2020, 19 year old Gabriel Walton from my hometown of Jonesboro, Arkansas had his eye set on becoming a TikTok star. His uploads featured him lip syncing, miming, smiling, and well that’s about it. Was he talented? If he was you wouldn’t know it based on the content he posted. He uploaded 100s of videos and not once did he use his own voice or display anything original in them. So it was art, I couldn’t tell. Especially since I’m just a boomer and modern art is subjective. But I’ll tell you who did like Gabriel Walton: the ladies. I’m talking minors right up to full grown women that oughta know better. And Gabe ate up the attention like it was being served at a half priced buffet. Even went as far as using his over 28,000 followers to get girls to message him. Many of these ladies were hopeful that this beautiful bad boy with the starry eyes and killer smile might choose them. But what they didn’t know is that Gabriel Walton already had secrets. But when news would break later that year, Gabriel’s TikTok wouldn’t be the only thing that went dark as what lay behind the smile was brought to the light. On August 29th of 2020, a man reported a startling discovery at 3913 Kaye Lane in Jonesboro. The body of 57 year old Ronald Wayne Voyles, was found inside his home lying dead on the floor. The man who discovered Mr. Voyles was his own brother. He said he hadn’t heard from the victim in 4 days and decided to check on him. When he entered the unlocked house Ronald was found covered in blood from head to toe wearing nothing but socks. There were blood stains and splatter found all over the bedspread, the carpet, the door, multiple walls, and several items in the bedroom he was found in. The scene was horrific.
