Famously known as the backdrop for The Sound of Music, Salzburg is a stunning Austrian city nestled in the Alps. Also known as Mozart’s birthplace, it’s filled with baroque beauty and a UNESCO-listed old town. We had an amazing two days exploring iconic landmarks like Hohensalzburg Fortress, Mirabell Gardens, hiking up Mönchsberg and Kapuzinerberg, and enjoying lots of delicious Austrian food such as Schnitzel, Kasnocken, Sachertorte, and Kaiserschmarrn.
