Welcome to this elementary Mandarin class. I am Sisi Laoshi.
A verb usually followed by the aspect particle 着 can indicate the continuation of a certain state.
爸爸穿着红色的衣服。Bàba chuānzhuó hóngsè de yīfú. Dad is wearing a red jumper.
门开着。Mén kāizhe. The door is open.
The negative form is add 没 before the verb
我没拿着书。Wǒ méi názhe shū. I wasn't holding a book.
In the interrogative sentence, 没有or 吗can be added at the end of the sentence. For example.
爸爸穿着我送的毛衣没有?Bàba chuānzhuó wǒ sòng de máoyī méiyǒu? Is Dad wearing the sweater I gave?
书店开着吗?Shūdiàn kāizhe ma? Is the book store open?
When you want to use one verb to describe how another action is performed.
Verb 1 + 着 + object 1 + verb2 + object2
It indicates two actions taking place at the same time.
我听着音乐做作业。Wǒ tīngzhe yīnyuè zuò zuòyè. I listen to music and do my homework.
