Zoltan Dornyei - Engaging language learners

Student engagement is often hailed as the core of education enterprise. In language education the significance of student engagement is arguably even greater than in other subject matters, because no method of teaching can deliver a high level of communicative competence without ensuring that students are actively involved in the process. This talk focuses on two important student engagement targets: engaging with the school context and the learner’s peer group.
