April 25th 2013, at the Saint Agnes Church, Alexandrinenstraße 118-121 Berlin. It was one of the first times that Yohji Yamamoto was involved in a sponsorship for the production of a show. But Audi AG was one car manufacturer that shared the same values of true craftsmanship. The show took place in a former church in Berlin Kreuzberg, taken over by the internationally acclaimed German art dealer, Johann König. It showcased the prestige and the quintessence of a designer who has been showing his collections for more than 30 years at the frontline of the Paris fashion scene. The show was counting the story of a woman, going through the different stages of her life, sheer happiness and oppressive torments, the innocent self-wedding ritual, the conventional marriage with her beloved partner, and finally a widow walks by herself, in a black crinoline dress embellished with that wide black straw hat…
