Writing Abstracts: An Overview

In this video for the NUST MISiS Academic Writing Center, English Language Fellow John Kotnarowski provides an overview introduction to abstract writing. It defines abstracts and explains some of the purposes that abstracts serve in today’s writing/research environment. It also provides a more detailed discussion of the features of a very common type of abstract, the informative journal abstract.
