Woodworking: How to make a sliding lid box

This quick and simple wood box is great for the beginner and pro. They make great pencil, wine, and other gift boxes. You can use just about any wood from scrap wood to exotic woods to make this. I'm wanting to dive into more than just turning bowls and such. I want to make keepsake boxes and maybe even a humidor. Heck, a lot of furniture is just bigger boxes aren't they?
