Woodturning an Almond Wood Masterpiece

Woodturning a vessel from a section of an almond tree and epoxy resin. In this video I used the rest of the almond tree wood that was left over from the almond root video I made a few months back. I am extremely happy with how this piece turned out. I feel it is probably my best piece of turning to date. The proportions just feel right. The resin mold was made from cardboard concrete footing tube available at most hardware stores. The piece is finished with four coats of Clean Armor 700 UV finish. Wet sanded between coats two and three. The only thing I feel I would possibly change is the angle I cut the wood at in the beginning of video. I would have liked there to be a little more wood and less resin in the finished piece. With time and experience I will get better at envisioning the finished piece from the start.
