woodturning a mysterious vase in a cube of burnt oak

Impossible turning on wood of a vase with a mysterious aura. This work is turned on two different axes, one of which is slightly off-center which will give the originality to this vase. An old piece of oak, widely split, very dry and good gouges will be necessary for the realization of this piece. When the part is hollowed out on one side, a strong unbalance is created limiting me to 150 RPM max ... I let you imagine the time it took me to finish this work ... Once shaped, I proceed to an intense torch burn in order to blacken and deeply brush the wood and thus highlight the cracks. The interior of the vase is painted in matt black. Un vieux morceaux de chêne largement fendu , très sec et de bonnes gouges seront nécessaire à la réalisation de cette pièce. Lorsque la pièce est creusé d'un seul coté ,un fort balourd se créer me limitant à 150 TPM max..je vous laisse imaginer le temps qu'il m'a fallu pour terminer cette œuvre... Une fois façonnée ,je procède à un intense brulage au chalumeau afin de noircir et de brosser profondément le bois et mettre ainsi en valeur les fentes . L’intérieur du vase est peint en noir mat.
