Winter Camping will NEVER been seen the same way again!

We came to the Lake District to go Winter Wild Camping. Some say winter camping is boring, this video with prove it's anything but that! Winter hiking brings a new challenge to the mountains. The snow makes it difficult to move quickly and the cold can bite back for the ill-prepared. However, the rewards are enormous. On a clear day, winter backpacking in the snow covered Lake District mountains is simply stunning. The weight of winter outdoor gear and the cold are soon forgotten with some of the best mountain views in the UK. Winter backpacking gear is extremely important. A 4 season tent is recommended along with a warm sleep system. Crampons are a must and an ice axe is advisable. Winter camping can be dangerous but risks can be mitigated with the correct preparation and gear selection. Down camping gear gives you the ultimate warmth to weight ration perfect for backpacking in the UK. Down hiking gear is packable and super warm when re-lofted.
