Wildfires, Winds, and Airbnb Chaos: Hosting During a Crisis (Life As Airbnb Hosts)

California wildfires have been raging, and the high desert got hit by crazy windstorms unlike anything we’ve seen before. Power outages came and went for days, leaving guests unsettled—some traveling from out of state and others trying to find shelter after being displaced by the Los Angeles fires. This week, we’re opening up about one of the wildest and hardest starts to a year we’ve ever faced as Airbnb hosts. On top of all that, Kristen shares an update on a tough family health situation, and Michael makes two trips out to the house to make sure it’s still standing.
