Why .NET Upgrades Are Important (and so fast)
.NET 9 recently came out, and within a year .NET 10 will be out. That can feel like a very fast pace. A new LTS or Long-Term Support version comes out every two years and the support for an LTS expires after three years. In between, we get STS or Short-Term Support versions that are only supported for 18 months.
One common complaint I hear is that this cycle is too fast. Based upon my experience working with dozens of companies on their applications, I would argue that this pace is probably just about right. In fact, if I gets too much longer, it can actually hurt companies.
In this video, we are going to cover why the upgrade cycle actually helps your company succeed.
