The great resignation came with a flood of people around the globe quitting their jobs for a newfound sense of purpose, new ways or thinking, or simply to remove themselves from the rat race. It's a quest for fulfillment, instead of plugging into the system. In 2020, I quit my job with no backup plan in pursuit of a larger long term goal. It wasn't something I'd intended to do at the time, but when things fall together in a way where your intuition is speaking to you, it's your responsibility to listen. So, I did.
