Why do I sketch?

It was interesting exploring my own "why" behind my sketching. I found I have quite a few reasons. Why do you sketch? Are your reasons the same? In this video, I used a Custom Heritage 912 fountain pen (modified to a needlepoint by Greg Minuskin, replaced with an ebonite feed), A Sailor 1911 with a zoom nib, old acrylic paints, a Steadtler Mars black pencil and a red Derwent Colorsoft pencil.
