White house press secretary Karoline Leavitt has snapped at reporters in an attempt to back down from President Trump’s Gaza “take over” plan announced yesterday. In a fiery press conference, Leavitt was asked about whether plans to “level the site” and rebuild Gaza were contradictory to Trump’s stance on foreign intervention. Ms Leavitt emphatically rejected the notion. "The President has not committed to boots on ground" Leavitt said. But when pressed, she also wouldn't rule out US intervention in the territory.
