Where Are You in the Body? | A Direct Path Experiment
In today’s experiment, we explore something a little different—the body, and more specifically, the felt location of the self within it.
Where do you feel you are? In the head? The heart? Somewhere behind the eyes? In this video, inspired by Greg Goode’s Direct Path User Guide, we dive into a layered process of self-inquiry. By gradually dividing the body and focusing on where “you” seem to reside, we begin to uncover a profound truth: that even this felt location is just another object arising in awareness.
Through personal reflections, dream analogies, and some playful speculation (including Richard Feynman’s floating tank experiments), we’ll question the very idea of being “inside” the body—and instead begin to glimpse the locationless, spacious awareness in which the body appears.
As always, this is not about adopting a belief or philosophy—it's about seeing for yourself. Thank you for all your thoughtful comments and kind support 🙏
