What new homestead livestock did we add this time?
We took a look at our normal diet. We took a look at the layout of our homestead. Then we jumped on books, cooperative extension videos, studies and data, then of course we looked at YouTube University. What we came up with is that we could actually add our new livestock to the homestead and rotationally graze it in an already used area of our property.
PIGS!!! We decided to get pigs and would also rotate them through our row crop area to consume left over vegetation, seeds, vegetables, and they would also break up the ground and provide manure for soil nutrients. What a win-win situation.
