This tutorial briefly covers the topic of Multiband Compression. While considered a more advanced audio engineering technique, multiband compression can have simple, practical uses. It's great for helping the vocals cut through dense mixes that contain many instruments competing for the midrange frequencies in a track. It also can be a fantastic tool for the mastering chain when you finish a song.
