What Game Engine Should I Start With?

One of the hardest decisions when first starting out in game development is choosing What Game Engine Should I Use?. As the saying goes, you don't know what you don't know! The 3 most obvious and popular choices of game engine right now are Unreal, Unity and the Godot game engine and all 3 are excellent choices. They however are not engines I would recommend to complete beginners. Instead I would recommend starting with one of the engines mentioned in this video, if only for a few days. It will teach you foundational skills that can easily be transferred to other game engines ... and, it's also rather fun.
